BERWYN, PA — The Tredyffrin Township Police Department is on the lookout for candidates to fill the position of Police Officer. The department seeks individuals with impeccable credentials and high moral character who are dedicated to serving the community.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Police Academy Cadet: The Township covers tuition, uniforms, training materials, and supplies. Cadets will receive a yearly salary of $50,000 plus benefits during training. After completing the Police Academy, the salary increases to $70,000, with incremental raises leading to a Class A Patrol Officer salary after five years.
  • Act 120 Certified Officers or Less Than Two Years of Service: Certified officers with less than two years of experience will start at $70,000 per year, with annual pay increases as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). By the end of the current CBA in 2028, a Class A Patrol Officer will earn a base salary of $143,410.
  • Lateral Officers: Officers with two consecutive years of full-time, certified police employment will start at the 12-24 month pay scale step, earning $76,250 annually. Those with three years of service will start at the 24-36 month step, earning $82,500 annually.

The Tredyffrin Township Police Department also offers comprehensive medical, vision, and dental benefits, a 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, equitable scheduling, longevity increases, and opportunities for overtime and off-duty details.
