MALVERN, PA — Residents at Echo Lake, SageLife’s senior living community in Malvern, this week welcomed Bob Kelly from FOX 29 to their Super Bowl tailgate party.
At the event, fans hung banners from their balconies, donned their Eagles green, enjoyed green mimosas, played corn hole and football toss, and, of course, sang Fly Eagles Fly multiple times, accompanied by the community’s ukelele band, the Cougarettes.
During one segment, Kelly spoke to resident Ron Knabb, who was the Chief architect of the firm that designed Veteran’s Stadium. Knabb reminisced about building a stadium for both football and baseball, and divulged it was his idea to use multi-colored seats to denote sections.
At the conclusion of the party, residents surprised Bob, now a member of the Echo Lake February Birthday Club, with an Eagles-themed birthday cake, and one last E-A-G-L-E-S.
With approximately 200 residents, Echo Lake offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. For more information, visit LivingAtEchoLake.com.
