KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The KSQ Farmers Market is set to resume its weekly schedule on Friday, May 2, offering an array of fresh, local produce and goods at Borough Hall, located at 600 S Broad Street. Held every Friday from 3–6 p.m., the market provides a platform for farmers and producers to connect with the community while fostering a robust local food economy.
“Coming together as a community to support local farmers and small businesses is more important than ever, and Kennett Collaborative is excited to kick off the new spring season in Kennett Square!” said Ros Fenton, Community Programs Manager for Kennett Collaborative.
Visitors can expect a diverse selection of in-season offerings including vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, mushrooms, honey, nut butters, preserves, flowers, and even prepared meals. Additionally, vendors provide natural home and skincare products, pet treats, and beverages like local wine, mead, coffee, and tea. Services such as Wastewell’s convenient composting are also available.
The market prides itself on creating a community-first experience. Weekly donations are collected for the Kennett Area Community Service (KACS) food cupboard, enabling market-goers to purchase items for families in need. “This system not only supports local farmers but also ensures fresh and nutritious food reaches neighbors who need it most,” Fenton explained.
For farmers like Liam Miller of Full Table Farm, the market represents more than just a venue to sell their harvest. “I love how many regulars we have at the market,” Miller said. “They bring me recipes, share stories, and are genuinely excited about what we grow. It’s a great community experience at KSQ!”
Market-goers are encouraged to keep tabs on the vendor lineup, which changes weekly, by subscribing to the “What’s Fresh” newsletter. This allows shoppers to plan ahead and enjoy the freshest seasonal goods each Friday.
The KSQ Farmers Market continues to strengthen community bonds and support small-scale producers, contributing to the vitality of the local food system. With its weekly return, the market looks toward a season of growth, collaboration, and delicious goods for all.
