DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Communities that Care of Greater Downingtown (CTC) is gearing up for its 4th annual Snowball Shuffle 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk, set to take place Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Eagleview Town Center. The eagerly awaited event promises an energetic morning of fun, fitness, and community spirit.
The day kicks off with registration opening at 8:00 AM, followed by the Run/Walk start at 9:00 AM. Registration costs $30 per participant, with a reduced fee of $25 for youth under 12 years old, and includes an event long-sleeve shirt. Participants can enjoy additional perks on-site, such as a hot chocolate bar, s’mores station, refueling snacks, and a raffle bursting with local business-donated prizes.
Prizes will also be awarded in three exciting categories—Best Costume, Most Money Raised, and Most Team Spirit—encouraging participants to get creative and bring their enthusiasm to the event.
A Community-Driven Initiative
The Snowball Shuffle, designed to unite families, friends, and neighbors, aims to promote the organization’s mission of creating a healthy, supportive environment where youth can thrive. Executive leadership at Communities that Care emphasizes that the event underscores the importance of both physical activity and community connection in fostering an engaged and empowered Downingtown.
Generous sponsorship from local businesses has been crucial to making the event possible. This year’s presenting sponsor, West Pharmaceutical Services, is joined by over 20 other businesses, including Citadel Credit Union, Brumbaugh Wealth Management, J.W. Pepper, Chick-fil-A (Downingtown), and Hankin Group. Their support highlights the community-wide effort to make the event a success.
Building Momentum for Youth Empowerment
The Snowball Shuffle offers a meaningful opportunity for participants to shake off the winter doldrums and make a tangible impact in their community. Proceeds from the day’s events go directly toward CTC’s initiatives, supporting Downingtown area programs that aim to empower youth and strengthen civic bonds.
Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering others on, this event is much more than a Saturday activity—it’s a celebration of the collective energy that makes Downingtown a vibrant and connected place.
For those looking to take part in this invigorating winter tradition, CTC encourages early registration to secure a spot and event perks. Let the Snowball Shuffle remind you of the power of a lively, united community moving forward together.
