COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville continues its season-long Christmas in Coatesville festivities with the 5th Annual Pavilion of Trees and City of Coatesville Tree Lighting ceremony at Gateway Park, 22 Lincoln Highway in Coatesville, on Saturday, December 9, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Visit ChristmasInCoatesville.com.
Guests are invited to attend the free, family-friendly event where they can stroll through Gateway Park, which each year, magically transforms d into a winter wonderland amidst twinkling lights and dozens of community-sponsored Christmas trees. Entertainment for the entire family includes live holiday music, food trucks, , hot chocolate, a kids’ station, and a visit from the jolliest of all elves, Santa Claus! New this year, the Pavilion will feature a Pop-Up Market to shop for stocking stuffers and gifts from local vendors.
The Pavilion of Trees is presented by Elite Therapy Solutions in the name of community spirit and goodwill. Each tree will express the creativity and imagination of a business, organization or individual sponsor that will decorate the tree and take part in a friendly competition for three top monetary prizes, ranging from $500 to $1500, that will be donated on the sponsors’ behalf to the local charity or non-profit of the sponsors’ choice. Remaining proceeds will be donated to Coatesville Parks and Recreation. “The annual event has become a favorite City holiday tradition, and I hope the community will come out to this and other wonderful Christmas in Coatesville activities!” says Patrick Kinzeler, Owner and Director of Administration, Elite Therapy Solutions.
A new Christmas in Coatesville event is the Made in Coatesville Holiday Market, a Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance initiative that features local merchants, light refreshments, kids’ activities and more. Shoppers are welcome December 8 – 9 and 15 – 16 at 228 East Lincoln Highway, Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. And don’t forget to dine in Coatesville’s newest restaurants, and shop many other downtown retailers before Christmas day.

My wishes for the City are for everyone to enjoy a warm and safe holiday, and that we carry our strong sense of care and community into the new year so that we may all prosper together.”
