The Berwyn Victory Run, sponsored by the Veterans Association of Easttown and Tredyffrin Townships, serves a dual purpose in honoring veterans and supporting their families in need. Not only does it help maintain Veterans Memorials in Berwyn, Chesterbrook, and soon in Devon, but it also pays tribute to those who made sacrifices to secure freedom for our country, thus granting us the privilege of celebrating holidays like July 4th.

The Park and Recreation Board has combined all local bike parades into one grand event in Downtown Berwyn, followed by a complimentary Picnic. The Parade has seen great success, with over 290 children and 450 adults enthusiastically participating every year. Headlining the Parade are the Berwyn Fire Company and Easttown Police, ensuring a safe and delightful experience for all attendees.

The Picnic is replete with traditional picnic food and beverage, complemented by an array of activities such as Moon Bounces, Face Painting, Water Balloon Toss, Limbo Contest, Three-Legged Races, and Tug-of-War. The Berwyn Fire Company water cannon shot will provide a refreshing conclusion to the day and leave everyone spick-and-span.

This year, the Berwyn Veterans will present trophies and awards to children with the most patriotic, most creative, and “funniest” bicycles, along with other Contest winners. Additionally, donations will be accepted on behalf of the Berwyn Fire Company.

The Easttown Township community is fortunate to have the generous support of numerous organizations that make the annual 5K Run/Walk, Kids Races, Parade, and Picnic possible. These include the Easttown Township Parks and Recreation Board, M&T Bank, WSFS Bank, Zeke Capital partners, Berwyn Fire Company, the Rotary Club, and the Berwyn Veterans. Under the leadership of Chairman Tom Toscani, the Board is comprised of accomplished individuals such as Cathy Stead, Ted Babiy, Margaret DiPiano, Stacey Ballard, Lisa Schwarz, and Marc Heppe. In addition, a multitude of local volunteers – including Ed & Janet Antoian, Paul Banks, Bill Bellew, Jack Ansley, Brandon Adams, Beau Choate, Pete Toscani, Jim Oram, Nancy Ward, and countless others – help make this event a resounding success. However, any additional volunteers who wish to lend their talents and energy will be warmly welcomed.
