Traffic Restrictions

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a week-long lane closure on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) to facilitate curb and sidewalk construction related to the St. Joseph’s University pedestrian bridge.

The closure, scheduled from Monday, March 31, through Friday, April 4, will affect the stretch of U.S. 1 between Lapsley Lane and 59th Street. This restriction will remain in place 24 hours a day throughout the project period.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and are advised to allow extra time for their commutes. Drivers are urged to proceed with caution in the construction zone.

PennDOT emphasized that all work is weather dependent and subject to change as conditions allow.
