PHILADELPHIA, PA — A section of Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia will be closed this Saturday, March 22, for overhead Interstate 95 bridge construction, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
The closure will occur from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will affect the stretch between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street. During this time, northbound motorists will be redirected to use Aramingo/Harbison Avenue and turn onto Bridge Street to access Tacony Street. For southbound traffic, the detour will direct drivers to Bridge Street and then onto Aramingo/Harbison Avenue.
Motorists traveling in the area should anticipate delays and are encouraged to allocate extra travel time. Local residents and businesses should also be prepared for temporary disruptions.
