Bridge Construction to Close Sections of Kumry Road, Milford Township

Travel Restrictions

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced temporary road closures on Kumry Road, Milford Township, Bucks County, as part of planned bridge construction by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

The closures will take place over three days, beginning Thursday, January 23, and Friday, January 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. On Saturday, January 25, Kumry Road will be closed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The impacted section will extend between Rosenberger Road and Walnut Lane.

Detours will redirect local traffic and large trucks through alternate routes. Passenger vehicles will be detoured via Allentown Road, Route 663 (John Fries Highway), and Krammes Road. Truck traffic, on the other hand, will follow Main Street, Broad Street, Tollgate Road, Route 309 (West End Boulevard), and Route 663. Local residents will retain access to points near the work zone.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time due to potential delays and backups in the area. PennDOT has emphasized that all scheduled construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Drivers traveling near the site are urged to plan their routes accordingly and to exercise caution for their own safety and that of the workers on-site.
