TREVOSE, PAVolunteers for Ukraine (VfU) has introduced its Community Resilience Project, aimed at equipping Ukrainian volunteers, educators, and frontline workers with the tools to support individuals impacted by trauma. This initiative provides vital training to address the psychological toll of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Through the project, participants receive instruction in crisis communication and trauma-informed care, empowering them to assist those dealing with trauma effectively. The training is led by experienced educators and medical professionals who tailor the sessions to the specific needs of Ukrainian communities.

“Resilience is not just about surviving adversity; it’s about emerging stronger and more united,” said Aaron Farrell, CFO of VfU.

The program emphasizes practical techniques to manage stress, foster trust, and provide support to trauma-affected individuals. These skills are especially critical for volunteers in conflict zones, teachers working with displaced students, and frontline workers offering emergency care.

Since its inception, the Community Resilience Project has reached hundreds of participants across Ukraine, with plans for further expansion. By creating a network of trained individuals, VfU is fostering stronger, more resilient communities prepared to recover and rebuild.
