MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corporation has entered into a three-year Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM). The partnership focuses on advancing and evaluating emerging technologies to address evolving electronic warfare and cyber threats.
Under the agreement, Rajant and DEVCOM will collaborate to test and model solutions tailored for U.S. Army applications. Key areas of focus include mesh communications, encryption, distributed computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The initiative aims to strengthen the Army’s defense capabilities by exploring cutting-edge technologies in real-world scenarios.
“This agreement continues our previous agreement with US Army DEVCOM and is a win-win for both organizations,” said Ed Preston, Rajant’s President of Military and Government Markets. “Rajant can gain detailed information on threats the Army faces today with complete freedom of innovation to counter those threats. The Army rapidly gains access to cutting-edge technology and can evaluate it in a real-world environment.”
Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh networks, originally developed for military needs, have been battle-tested for over 20 years and are designed for the harsh conditions troops face. This collaboration further reinforces Rajant’s commitment to enhancing mission-critical communications for defense applications.
The partnership will play a key role in evaluating technologies that meet current and future Army requirements.
