Do You Recognize These Faces? Help Solve a Philadelphia Theft Case

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Central Detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking help from the public in identifying individuals linked to an alleged theft and subsequent credit card fraud on December 8, 2024.

The incident reportedly occurred inside a dining establishment on the 1100 block of Market Street. While the victim was eating, her wallet was allegedly removed from her purse. She discovered the theft after finishing her meal and preparing to leave the premises.

Shortly afterward, the victim’s credit card was allegedly used to make multiple unauthorized purchases at the Macy’s located at 1300 Market Street. Investigators have since obtained surveillance footage from various locations, including the retail store, which captured the individuals believed to be involved in the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone who may recognize the suspects seen in the video footage not to approach them directly. Instead, individuals are encouraged to contact the police via 911 or submit tips anonymously through the provided channels.

Members of the public with information about this case are asked to reach out to Central Detective Division at 215-686-3047 or 215-686-3048. Calls, texts, and online tips will remain confidential. The investigating officers, Detective Lyons and Detective Winward, are handling the case under Reference ID#: DC#24-09-119022.

Philadelphia Police stress that all information provided is subject to updates as the investigation progresses. It is important to note that allegations do not equate to guilt, and any suspects identified through this process are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
