WEST BRANDYWINE, PAFreedom Village at Brandywine capped off December with a commitment to giving back, organizing two impactful initiatives that provided vital support to local charities and families in need.

The community collected 500 pounds of non-perishable food items during a month-long food drive, which were donated to the Chester County Food Bank. The initiative further engaged employees by offering a casual perk—jeans on Fridays—in exchange for donations, fostering a sense of teamwork while contributing to a worthy cause.

Alongside the food drive, Freedom Village residents held a flower sale organized by the Resident Outreach Committee. The sale raised $2,000, with the proceeds bolstering the committee’s fund to support local charities year-round.

“This December initiative showcases the spirit of our Freedom Village family,” said Executive Director Danielle Geyer. “We are proud to give back to the community that has welcomed us so warmly and to support causes that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

These efforts highlight Freedom Village’s dedication to fostering goodwill and serving its community, spreading meaningful outreach during the holiday season.
