Michael Sharp Named President of AmeriGas Propane

VALLEY FORGE, PAUGI Corporation (NYSE: UGI) has announced the appointment of Michael Sharp as President of AmeriGas Propane, effective December 30, 2024.

UGI Corporation President and CEO Bob Flexon shared his confidence in Sharp’s leadership, highlighting his extensive experience and ability to drive transformation. “Having worked closely with Mike before, I am very familiar with his leadership capabilities, his thoughtful approach to business, and his ability to embrace and drive change that leads to performance,” said Flexon. “Mike’s experience in physical and financial commodity management, hands-on operations, and driving an operating culture will be of significant value to AmeriGas, its customers, and employees.”

Sharp brings a robust track record of leadership across the energy industry, including his most recent role as Vice President of Asset Management at Talen Energy, LLC. There, he focused on maximizing long-term value by integrating operational and commercial aspects of the company’s fleet. He has also held senior leadership roles at Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority, Dynegy, and Duke Energy, giving him extensive expertise in operational strategy and performance optimization.
