BRYN MAWR, PA — Visiting Angels has unveiled ten new grant partnerships through The Visiting Angels Foundation, a non-profit initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable seniors across the country. The foundation collaborates with community-based organizations to provide funding for essential services that empower seniors to age with dignity and independence.
“Helping senior citizens is at the core of what we do. We are proud to partner with great organizations who share our passion for helping seniors in need,” said Dan Drennen, President of The Visiting Angels Foundation. “Our franchisees helped us to identify each of these recipients, and we are thrilled to partner with them to further our mission of empowering seniors to age in place with dignity.”
The 2024 Fall Grant Recipients include a range of organizations addressing critical needs. Among them are Alzheimer’s Tennessee, which supports families coping with Alzheimer’s disease, and Hillsborough County Meals on Wheels in New Hampshire, connecting seniors with their communities through healthy meals. Honor Flight, a national program honoring America’s veterans, and the Hood County Committee on Aging in Texas, which offers meals and transportation to seniors, are also among the grantees.
Each grant was secured with the assistance of Visiting Angels franchise owners, who played a pivotal role in recommending organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities. Past recipients of grants from The Visiting Angels Foundation include Meals on Wheels America, The Salvation Army, and Little Sisters of the Poor Holy Family Home.
Through these partnerships, Visiting Angels aims to support organizations that share their commitment to improving the lives of seniors and promoting a strong sense of community.
