MALVERN, PA — Endo, Inc. (OTCQX: NDOI) has introduced a new tool to support men dealing with Peyronie’s disease (PD). The self-assessment screening app, designed to help individuals identify and understand symptoms of the condition, has been spotlighted in the peer-reviewed journal Translational Andrology and Urology.
The app was developed to address the common hesitation many men feel when discussing PD-related curvature deformities with healthcare providers, a topic often avoided due to its sensitive nature. “Men can be reluctant to discuss curvature deformities with healthcare providers due to the intimate nature of the topic and possible embarrassment,” explained Dr. Gregory A. Broderick, a urologist and lead author of the manuscript. “The app was designed to give men the resources to confidently document their symptoms, prepare them for a visit with a urologist and take charge of their PD.”
The app offers several user-friendly features, including a self-assessment questionnaire, image scanning capabilities, and a provider locator. These tools aim to empower men with the knowledge and support needed to take proactive steps in seeking professional care.
The manuscript, titled “Development of a new Peyronie’s disease self-assessment screening app,” highlights the collaboration among healthcare professionals during its creation. Co-authors include Dr. Jesse N. Mills, Lisa Bathish, Christopher Davis, and Dr. Mohit Khera.
By leveraging technology, the app hopes to encourage more men to address a condition that is often overlooked, providing a pathway toward better awareness and treatment.
All data remains confidential, stored only within the app on the user’s device. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
