Eastbound Little Road to Close for Utility Construction in Lower Frederick Township

Travel Restrictions

LOWER FREDERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — Utility construction on eastbound Little Road in Montgomery County will require a temporary road closure and detours next week, according to an announcement by Prestige Property Partners LLC.

From Monday, December 30, to Friday, January 3, 2025, excluding the New Year’s Day holiday, Little Road will be closed to eastbound traffic between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Simmons Road. Construction will take place daily between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Local access will remain available up to the work zone.

During the closure, motorists will be redirected to use Route 29 (Gravel Pike), Route 73 (Big Road), and Perkiomenville Road as alternate routes. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their commutes due to anticipated congestion and possible delays in the area. All construction schedules remain weather dependent.

The work, being conducted under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, is intended to improve utility infrastructure along this stretch of Little Road. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and remain alert while traveling near the closure and along detour routes.
