Rajant Corporation Partners to Deliver Cutting-Edge Robotic Connectivity in UAE

MALVERN, PA — Rajant Corporation, in collaboration with Hader Security and Communication Systems (HSCS) and Tabbara Electronics, has secured a pivotal connectivity project for a government-owned client in the UAE. The project utilizes Rajant’s ES1 BreadCrumb® nodes to ensure continuous, secure wireless connectivity for Boston Dynamics’ quadruped Spot robot during specialized industrial tasks.

The Spot robot is deployed in remote inspections, monitoring, and critical maintenance within sensitive environments. Traditional and alternative networks fell short of delivering the reliability and adaptability needed, but Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh technology provided a solution tailored to the task.

“One of the key characteristics of the project was to build a special mounting arrangement on the Spot robot to ensure full maneuverability of its robotic arm,” explained Mohamad Tabbara, CEO of HSCS. “Movement must be robust and offer an unobstructed view of the infrared camera. Rajant worked with us to create a custom solution that met technical and operational requirements.”

The connectivity provided by Rajant BreadCrumb nodes enables secure, remote control of Spot in hazardous or hard-to-access areas. “Safe and secure tele-remote operation of Spot is crucial,” added Sana Kanaan, VP at Tabbara Electronics. “Rajant’s wireless, easy-to-use nodes are designed for these challenging environments. They also offer scalability to support evolving capacity needs, delivering cost efficiencies for the client.”
