PHILADELPHIA, PA – Dunkin’ of Greater Philadelphia and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation celebrated a significant moment for local healthcare, awarding $35,180 grants to four area children’s hospitals. The joyful event took place Thursday, December 19, at the Dunkin’ located at 9900 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. Representatives from Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper, Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children were present for an oversized check presentation filled with music, balloons, and community spirit.
The $140,720 distributed locally is part of the $2.1 million raised nationwide during Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day, an annual initiative that encourages guests across the country to “sip from the heart” and make a difference in children’s lives. Proceeds from the event directly benefit programs that bring joy and comfort to kids in children’s hospitals.
“This celebration is about more than grants; it’s about giving kids in our communities a little extra hope and happiness when they need it most,” a Dunkin’ spokesperson remarked.
Thanks to the generosity of Dunkin’ guests, these grants will support critical services and initiatives at local hospitals, ensuring children facing health challenges receive care and comfort in equal measure.
