MEDIA, PA — With a projected employment growth of 8.9% for nursing assistants in Chester County, Delaware County Community College (DCCC) is addressing the growing need for skilled healthcare workers through its Nurse Aide Program. This intensive 133-hour course offers students the opportunity to launch a rewarding career in healthcare in just four months.
The Nurse Aide Program is designed to prepare students for roles in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, hospice, home healthcare, and long-term care facilities. Hosted at the cutting-edge Pennocks Bridge Center in West Grove, PA, the program ensures high-impact training led by experienced instructors with deep regional expertise and industry connections.
Program Highlights
The course includes 60 hours of hands-on clinical training, providing students with real-world experience to develop essential skills. Participants will also earn six college credits upon completion, giving them a significant head start in their healthcare careers.
Students are encouraged to take the Nurse Aide Competency exam with Credentia upon completing the program, an important step to being registered as a Nurse Aide in Pennsylvania. Classes begin January 29, 2025, at two convenient locations. The primary site is the Pennocks Bridge Center (280 Pennocks Bridge Rd, West Grove, PA 19390) in Chester County, but the program is also available at DCCC’s Marple Campus in Media, PA.
