HARRISBURG, PA — State Representative Jamie Barton, representing the 124th district of Schuylkill and Berks Counties, has been named Chairman of the House Republican Campaign Committee (HRCC) for the 2025-2026 election cycle. The announcement spotlights Barton’s leadership within the caucus and sets the stage for renewed efforts to secure a Republican majority in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

House Republican Leader Jesse Topper praised Barton’s qualifications, highlighting his extensive private sector experience and contributions to the caucus. “Jamie Barton has been a huge asset to the caucus immediately since being elected. He is a very well-respected business leader who has worked more than 35 years in the private sector. Jamie was a caucus leader in fundraising and events while helping numerous individual campaigns. He is the right person to lead HRCC as our caucus sets its sights on winning a majority,” Topper stated.

Barton, who joined the legislature after a long career in business and years of community involvement, expressed enthusiasm for the new role. “I am excited to work with my colleagues, candidates, party committees, and supporters in this new role,” said Barton. “Our caucus has great members and the right values. I am looking forward to turning those assets into big election victories in the next two years.”

Beyond his legislative career, Barton is active in his community as a lay pastor and serves on the boards of the Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County and the Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce. Barton and his wife, Brenda, have four children and remain deeply engaged in their local area.

Barton’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for the HRCC as it looks to build electoral momentum. Under his leadership, the committee aims to strengthen party unity, expand fundraising efforts, and strategically support candidates in competitive districts ahead of the next election cycle.
