WEST WHITELAND TWP, PA — Excitement is building in West Whiteland Township as Wawa prepares to open its newest store tomorrow morning at 401 West Lincoln Highway. Celebrating both the launch of the new location and the company’s 60th anniversary, the event promises to bring the community together with giveaways, special activities, and a nod to Wawa’s longstanding commitment to serving its customers and neighborhoods.

The festivities will kick off bright and early at 7:45 a.m. with General Manager John Reilly leading the countdown to officially open the doors at 8 a.m. The first 100 customers will receive free commemorative “In My Wawa Era 60th Anniversary” t-shirts, while everyone can enjoy free any-size hot coffee throughout the day.

At 8:30 a.m., the celebration continues with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from Wawa representatives highlighting the company’s impact on the community. The event will feature the signature “Hoagies for Heroes” hoagie-building competition between the West Whiteland Township Police and Fire Departments. This friendly contest pays tribute to first responders and emphasizes Wawa’s commitment to fostering community connections.

Katie Stevens, Wawa’s Director of Store Operations, and Justin Henry, Area Manager, will join alongside the cheerful Wally Goose mascot to commemorate the occasion. Customers and associates alike are invited to toast the new store and celebrate its role as a hub of convenience and connection for the area.

“Wawa’s mission has always been about more than just great food and coffee—it’s about creating a welcoming environment where the community feels supported and valued,” company leaders shared. The event will also showcase simple acts of kindness, such as holding the door for one another, that contribute to Wawa’s family-like atmosphere.

This new store is set to bring more than just convenience. With new jobs, trusted products, and a focus on uplifting the local community, it represents a continuation of Wawa’s tradition of “Fulfilling Lives.”

Whether grabbing a hoagie, sipping on coffee, or enjoying the camaraderie of neighbors, the grand opening promises to be both a celebration of Wawa’s past 60 years and the beginning of its future in West Whiteland. Be sure to stop by and experience the excitement for yourself!
