These appointments signal Robbins’ focus on innovation, athlete safety, and expanding its influence in the sports and performing arts industries.

Barry Hughson is a seasoned leader in the performing arts, with a career spanning more than three decades. Starting as a professional dancer with the Washington Ballet, he transitioned to management roles at renowned organizations like the Boston Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada. Hughson’s extensive experience includes international collaborations and advocacy work with Dance/USA, where he has served on the board. His efforts have consistently elevated institutions’ financial stability and global profiles while broadening their audiences.

Thomas Trojian, a specialist in sports medicine, has dedicated his career to injury prevention and safety. Formerly the Sports Medicine Physician for the UConn Women’s Basketball Team, Trojian has spearheaded research on ACL injury prevention and served in leadership roles at top sports medicine organizations. He has also played a pivotal role in athlete safety initiatives at Drexel and Temple Universities, overseeing programs focused on both athletes and dancers.

John Shiver brings a wealth of expertise from his four-decade career in architecture. Currently the Director of Education Practice at GFF, Shiver has been instrumental in designing educational and athletic facilities that prioritize safety and quality. His advocacy for improved gym and practice facility standards complements Robbins’ mission. With previous experience involving major projects in Dallas and Fort Worth, Shiver has worked to promote products like Robbins’ flooring for its superior safety features.

Their immense industry knowledge from the dance and performing arts market, architecture, and sports medicine, combined with their passion for performance and safety, will be invaluable as we accelerate Robbins’ growth and product innovation,” Wolfe said.

Robbins’ CEO Todd Braun echoed this optimism. “I am eager to collaborate with Barry, Thomas, and John to expand Robbins’ presence in the dance and performing arts market, deepen our involvement in K-12 schools, and strengthen our focus on biometrics and safety,” Braun said. “Their expertise will be a tremendous asset as we continue to prioritize the well-being of the athletes and performers who trust Robbins for their success.”
