KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The charming streets of Kennett Square will glisten with holiday magic as the highly anticipated “Tinsel on the Town” returns on Thursday, December 19. From 5:00 to 7:00 PM, State Street will transform into a winter wonderland of festivities, offering something for all ages to enjoy.

Hosted by Kennett Collaborative, this free annual event invites families, friends, and visitors to celebrate the holiday season while exploring the unique shops, local vendors, and vibrant culture of Kennett Square. Beneath shimmering gold tinsel garlands that stretch along State Street, attendees can revel in an evening of community togetherness and seasonal delights.

A Family-Friendly Extravaganza

This year’s “Tinsel on the Town” offers a wide array of activities to spread holiday cheer. Children and adults alike can participate in a beloved tradition of interactive BINGO, visiting participating stores to collect stamps and complete their cards.

“Tinsel on the Town is one of my favorite events!” shared Corien Siepelinga of Square Pear Fine Art Gallery. “It’s so much fun watching the kids dive into BINGO with such focus and excitement. Plus, it’s free to play and a great activity for the whole family. It’s the perfect way to explore the shops in Kennett Square while enjoying quality time with your kids. Don’t miss out on the fun!”

Adding to the excitement this year is the newly introduced Kennett Express, an ADA-compliant electric passenger train offering free rides for all ages from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Visitors can take in the festive sights and sounds of State Street aboard this charming addition to the holiday celebration.
