BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for pipe replacement along Route 332 (Richboro Road) in Newtown and Northampton townships, which will require lane closures over a multi-week period. Motorists in this area should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.
The work schedule begins Monday, December 16, and runs through Friday, December 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A lane closure will be in effect on Route 332 between W. Hanover Street and Rock Way. Following this initial phase, weekday lane closures will resume from Tuesday, January 2, 2025, through Friday, January 17, 2025, along the same stretch of road.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time when passing through the work zone, as traffic backups and delays are expected due to the lane restrictions. The success of the project depends on weather conditions, and the schedule is subject to change accordingly.
The general contractor for this project is Highway Materials, Inc., based in Flourtown, Montgomery County. The pipe replacement work is being funded entirely by state funds, underscoring PennDOT’s commitment to maintaining and improving local infrastructure.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution while traveling through the affected area and to remain alert for workers and equipment.
