LANCASTER, PA — The City of Lancaster and the Lancaster Stormers are teaming up to host a lively New Year’s Eve celebration at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on December 31 from 8 p.m. to midnight.
The family-friendly festivities will feature live music, a variety of food options, and dynamic entertainment, including a fresh take on the tradition of the Red Rose Drop. The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display to welcome 2025. For families with young children, a special kids’ New Year’s Eve countdown is planned for 10 p.m.
“As we ring in the New Year, we’re excited to celebrate the vibrant spirit of Lancaster with a community event that brings everyone together,” said Mayor Danene Sorace. “I look forward to welcoming residents and visitors alike for a night of joy, reflection, and anticipation for a bright year ahead.”
The event is part of the Lancaster City for the Holidays series. Free transportation will be provided from Lancaster city neighborhoods to Clipper Magazine Stadium to ensure accessibility for all.
Mike Reynolds, general manager of the Lancaster Stormers, expressed the team’s enthusiasm for the event, saying, “The Lancaster Stormers are proud to partner with the City of Lancaster for this year’s New Year’s Eve festivities. Just as we bring the community together during the baseball season, we’re pleased to help kick off 2025 with an unforgettable celebration.”
