PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department‘s Central Detective Division is actively seeking assistance from the public to identify three suspects involved in two alleged commercial robberies in the city. According to authorities, these incidents occurred during the early hours of October 31, 2024, and involved the use of a sledgehammer to gain unlawful entry.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., three unidentified males reportedly forced their way into a corner store located at 2462 North 29th Street. Upon entry, two of the suspects brandished handguns, and the group fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store’s register. Just hours later, the same individuals are suspected of committing a similar robbery at another convenience store on the same street, reinforcing the urgency of their apprehension.
The suspects are described as follows:
- Suspect #1 was seen wearing all dark clothing, a striped mask, and blue gloves, and he was armed with a handgun.
- Suspect #2 wore a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket, gray pants, and brown boots.
- Suspect #3 was identified by his black hooded sweatshirt, black “Nike” sweatpants, gray “New Balance” sneakers, and he also carried a handgun.
The Central Detective Division requests that anyone who sees these individuals refrain from approaching them, and instead, immediately contact 911. Those with information relevant to these cases are urged to contact detectives directly at 215-686-3047 or 215-686-3048, referencing ID# DC 24-22-079355. Detectives Lyons and Winward are overseeing the investigation.
