Resurfacing Projects Set to Enhance Road Safety in Montgomery County

traffic alert expect delays

UPPER MERION TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced an upcoming series of resurfacing projects in Montgomery County. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure quality and ensure safer travel conditions for motorists.

Commencing Tuesday, November 12, and continuing through Friday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will be implemented on Flint Hill Road and Jefferson Street. This section, stretching between Route 320 (Swedeland Road) and Fourth Street in Upper Merion Township, will undergo utility adjustments and milling as part of the planned improvements.

In addition, from Wednesday, November 13, to Friday, November 15, lane closures will affect both directions of Gulph Road at its intersection with Route 23 (West Valley Forge Road) in Upper Merion Township. These closures are necessary for comprehensive milling and paving operations that are essential to maintaining the integrity and safety of the roadway.

Motorists are encouraged to plan for additional travel time due to expected delays and potential traffic congestion in these areas. The schedule for these activities is dependent on weather conditions, highlighting the importance of staying informed about any updates.
