PHOENIXVILLE, PA — College Board announced that Renaissance Academy Charter School has been named to the 2024 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning gold distinction.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

Renaissance Academy Charter School had 68% of seniors take at least one AP exam during high school, with 50% scoring a 3 or higher on at least one exam. Additionally, 42% of seniors took five or more AP exams.

The school offers 12 AP courses, with 20 sections taught by nine Advanced Placement teachers.

“I am thrilled to see our long-term goal of expanding access to AP courses come to fruition, said high school principal Michelle Boyd, “a goal the high school has diligently pursued, knowing the profound impact this experience can have on a student’s academic journey. Our teachers are not only opening doors to these opportunities but are also delivering rigorous instruction that promotes high achievement and success in these courses. I am incredibly proud of the ongoing dedication of both our teachers and students in making this vision a reality.”
