Is Your Daily Commute on I-95 About to Change? Here’s What You Need to Know About Upcoming Repairs

Traffic, flagging

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of guiderail repairs set to commence on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.

This maintenance project is scheduled to run from September 25 through October 18, impacting traffic with periodic lane closures on both directions of I-95. These closures will occur weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and weeknights from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, affecting sections between the Broad Street/Pattison Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue interchanges.

Motorists are urged to plan for potential delays and allocate additional travel time when navigating these areas, as traffic congestion is anticipated. The repairs are part of PennDOT’s ongoing efforts to enhance highway safety and infrastructure reliability. As these activities are contingent on weather conditions, adjustments to the schedule may be necessary.
