Utility and Stormwater Improvements Planned for Langhorne-Yardley Road

Lane closures

MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming utility and stormwater improvements on Langhorne-Yardley Road in Middletown Township. The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance safety at the intersections of Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road.

Starting Tuesday, September 3, and continuing through early December, periodic weekday lane closures will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Langhorne-Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road. Motorists should anticipate delays and are advised to allow extra travel time. All activities are weather dependent.

The project includes constructing a single-lane roundabout, realigning the roadway, and installing upgraded traffic signals. Additional improvements involve stormwater management, ADA curb ramps, signage, lighting, and resurfacing operations. These enhancements aim to improve mobility for both pedestrians and bicyclists.

Commuters are encouraged to stay informed and plan their routes accordingly.
