NORTH EAST, MD — Cecil College recently celebrated the achievements of 12 student-athletes named to the 2023-24 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Team. The NJCAA recognized these students for their academic excellence earlier this month.
Among the honorees, sophomores Lily Landis, Skylar Klingler, Nora Watkins, and Ryan Thompson were recognized for the second consecutive year. Landis, from Elkton, Maryland, distinguished herself by making the NJCAA All-Academic First Team both years.
Joining these returning achievers are eight first-time honorees from various sports teams. Baseball, men’s soccer, and volleyball each had three student-athletes honored. Softball followed with two, and men’s basketball had one student-athlete recognized.
To earn academic honors, student-athletes must achieve an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the academic year.
