Bridge Construction on Route 401 to Cause Delays in West Pikeland Township

WEST PIKELAND TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced ongoing bridge construction on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in West Pikeland Township, Chester County. This work, carried out by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, is set to impact traffic next week.

From Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, a lane closure with flagging will be in place between Newcomen Road and 7 Oaks Road. The lane closure will be enforced from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic as they approach the construction zone. All activities are weather dependent and may change based on conditions.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is completing this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
