PHILADELPHIA, PA — CORA Services, a prominent Family Resource Center in Philadelphia, has introduced the Family Navigation Center Pilot Program. This initiative aims to transform how children and families access essential services, marking a significant stride in CORA’s mission to empower communities through quality care.
For over 50 years, CORA has served more than 20,000 children and families annually with compassionate care. Recognizing the increasing needs of Philadelphia’s youth, CORA identified the necessity for a guide to help families navigate the complex array of available resources. The Family Navigation Center (FNC) will offer a holistic approach, addressing intricate needs and helping families maneuver through various systems.
“We are thrilled to launch the Family Navigation Center pilot program, which represents a significant milestone in our efforts to support families in our community,” said AnnMarie McDowell, President & CEO of CORA Services. “For over 50 years, CORA has provided quality and compassionate services to more than hundreds of thousands of children and families. The FNC will allow us to be more efficient in how we assess individual educational and behavioral needs and how we navigate them through the process of obtaining those services.”
The success of the FNC is bolstered by an Advisory Council, a diverse group comprising professionals from education, healthcare, social services, business, labor, and community advocacy. This council plays a crucial role in the program’s development and implementation, ensuring it meets community needs effectively.
