ABINGTON TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that trail construction on Greenwood Avenue will continue next week as part of a local safety improvement project.
From 7:00 PM on Friday, July 19, to 5:00 AM on Monday, July 22, Greenwood Avenue in Abington Township, Montgomery County will be closed and detoured between Washington Lane and Meetinghouse Road. During this period, drivers should follow the detour via Meetinghouse Road, Route 73 (Township Line Road), and Route 611 (Old York Road).
Local access will remain available up to the work zone. PennDOT advises motorists to allow extra time when traveling near the area, as significant backups and delays will occur.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and could be rescheduled if necessary. Motorists should plan their routes accordingly and exercise caution when navigating the detours.
