In 1906, Miller Allen Simmers modernized the mill with a metal wheel from the Fitz Water Wheel Company. Following an initial restoration from 2001 to 2002, this year’s refurbishment ensures the wheel’s continued operation for over two decades, reflecting the mill’s unwavering commitment to preserving its historical essence and operational integrity.
