MALVERN, PA — Two leading medical practitioners, Richard Neville, MD, FACS, DFSVS, and Bret Wiechmann, MD, FSIR, FAHA, FSVM, have joined the illustrious roster of course directors for HMP Global‘s Amputation Prevention Symposium (AMP) in 2024. They will lend their expertise to an educational program that highlights patient experiences and the latest strategies for fighting critical limb ischemia (CLI), a severe vascular disease that can lead to amputation.
AMP 2024, taking place from August 14-17 in Chicago, offers a unique forum for vascular and endovascular specialists to stay abreast of groundbreaking techniques and developments in revascularization – methods to restore blood flow to affected limbs.
Both Neville and Wiechmann have lauded the AMP Symposium for its collaborative approach. “[The problem of amputation] continues to grow in this country in a disparate manner,” Neville said, voicing the urgent need for increased awareness about the issue. Wiechmann expressed how he is “honored to be one of the Course Directors for such an amazing educational event.”
