GLENSIDE, PA — Glenside is gearing up to welcome a fresh taste on the local dining scene with the launch of ‘Rooster’s,’ a classic American pub promising a gourmet dining experience and lively atmosphere. Renowned restaurateurs Justin Weathers, Joe Monnich, Matt Moyer and Chris Magarity are joining forces to introduce this culinary treat at the erstwhile location of Keswick Tavern.

With a generous dining space of 3,000 sq. ft., Rooster’s aims to make locals feel like royalty by offering them an extensive choice of seating options at the bar, in the dining area, or outdoors. The pub, set to operate every day, promises to satiate food cravings during lunch, brunch, dinner, and late-night hours.

“We are excited to team up with our friends from Jasper’s Backyard to create a new classic American Pub with great food and drinks, a community-focused atmosphere and quality service,” said Moyer. “Chef Joe Monnich is busy creating a menu of elevated pub food with bold flavors and unique presentations. The bar program will offer a big selection of draft beers, eclectic wines and house-made cocktails.”

In tribute to Glenside’s beloved community figure, Danny “Rooster” Moyer, the new establishment aims to encapsulate his fun-loving, dedicated spirit. Moyer’s son, Matt, said the pub is named in honor of his recently deceased father, Danny, who was warmly admired within Glenside and was known for his red hair, earning him the nickname ‘Rooster.’

Food enthusiasts can expect an elevated take on pub fare, showcasing a raw bar, burgers, sandwiches, and seasonal entrees among other delights. The bar will offer a range of 14 draft beers, an eclectic selection of wines, and crafted cocktails.

With its highly-anticipated opening date set for fall 2024, Rooster’s will offer a sneak peek during the Greater Glenside July 4th Parade with a community beer garden meet and greet.

The opening of Rooster’s expands the Stove and Co. Restaurant Group’s already impressive portfolio, which includes acclaimed restaurants such as Stove and Tap Lansdale and Al Pastor Havertown, among others.

The design aesthetic for the new restaurant, supervised by Barbara Balongue, promises a vibrant and high-energy space with a vintage flair. Historic pictures and sports memorabilia linked to Glenside will adorn the walls, immersing guests in the community’s rich culture.

In addition to offering great food and ambiance, Rooster’s will also serve as a boon to the local economy, creating 26 full and part-time positions. For families, Rooster’s promises a kid-friendly environment complete with a special menu and high chairs.

Rooster’s intends to be more than just a restaurant. With plans for a live music program, special events, and a state-of-the-art viewing experience for sports fans, Rooster’s is all set to become the new heart and soul of the Glenside community.
