LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that a bridge inspection on Slackwater Road (Route 30320) over the Conestoga River will begin next week. The inspection will affect traffic between Manor Township and Conestoga Township.
Weather permitting, lane restrictions will be in place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2. Traffic will be limited to one direction at a time. The inspection will start southbound, moving from Manor Township to Conestoga Township, and then shift to the northbound direction.
During the inspection, the right lane and shoulder will be closed. Motorists should expect backups and delays and are advised to plan extra travel time.
Drivers are urged to stay alert, obey work zone signs, and exercise caution while passing through the area to ensure their safety and that of the inspection crews.
This inspection is part of PennDOT’s ongoing efforts to maintain and ensure the safety of the region’s infrastructure.
