Water Main Construction to Cause Lane Closures in West Brandywine Township, Expect Delays

WEST BRANDYWINE TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania will begin water main construction on two state highways in West Brandywine Township, Chester County, starting Monday, June 17. This project will lead to significant traffic disruptions.

From Monday, June 17, through Thursday, June 20, a closure is scheduled on Hibernia Road between U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Route 82 (Manor Road). The closure will occur daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Motorists will be diverted to U.S. 322 and Route 82. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Additionally, from Wednesday, June 19, through Friday, June 28, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 82 between Hibernia Road and Beaver Creek Road. This closure will also take place daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas due to expected backups and delays. All activities are weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania is completing this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
