WARMINSTER, PA — An 18-year-old from Philadelphia faces multiple charges following an alleged carjacking at the County Line Shopping Center in Warminster. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
Warminster Police responded to a report of a robbery and carjacking at a business located on the 200 block of E County Line Road. The victim told officers that two males, dressed in black clothes and wearing black face masks, entered the store. One suspect lifted his hoodie, displayed a handgun, and demanded the keys to the victim’s orange Dodge TRX pickup truck. After obtaining the keys, the other suspect allegedly robbed the victim of her cell phone.
The suspects fled the scene in the stolen pickup truck and a black Dodge Challenger, heading east on County Line Road. Warminster Police broadcasted the descriptions of the suspects and vehicles to surrounding departments.
Upper Southampton Police soon spotted the vehicles. A chase ensued through Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton, and into Bensalem, where the black Dodge Challenger crashed. The occupant of the Challenger was apprehended without further incident, while the orange pickup truck continued into Philadelphia.
Police identified the apprehended suspect as Reynaldo Almanzar Rodriguez, 18, of Gransback Street in Philadelphia. Rodriguez reportedly admitted his role in the Warminster robbery. He was charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, simple assault, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of crime, and making terroristic threats.
Rodriguez was arraigned before Judge O’Neill and remanded to Bucks County Prison on 10% of $250,000 bail. The investigation continues, and police urge anyone with additional information to contact the Warminster Police Department at (215) 672-1000.
All charges against Rodriguez are allegations. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Further details may emerge as the case progresses.
