Thursday, April 11th Event Includes Free Health Screenings, Tours, Giveaways, and Refreshments

COATESVILLE, PA — The Equity Health Center (EHC), the Greater Coatesville areas connection to affordable health care, invites the community to its Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Thursday, April 11, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Brandywine Center (744 East Lincoln Highway, 4th Floor, Coatesville, PA 19320). The event introduces the new facility and EHC services and providers.

Founded in 2023, Equity Health Center is a collaboration between The Alliance for Health Equity (The AHE) and The Health Equity Group (formerly the Greater Coatesville Hospital Closure Group). EHC is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) by the Chester County Health Department. The goal of EHC is to build an integrated healthcare ecosystem to meet the needs of all residents in the Greater Coatesville area. EHCs physical location, offering clinical, behavioral, and social support services, is on the 4th floor of the Brandywine Center. Through its website, Equityhealthcenter.org, it also provides digital access to health services and a wide range of resources to help eliminate barriers to accessing health services.

“We’ve assembled skilled and trusted care providers to meet a wide range of patient needs, including physical, mental, and emotional health care, with an emphasis on preventative care,” says Kevin Ressler, President and CEO of The Alliance for Health Equity. “Our providers are interconnected to ensure patients can access the high-quality care they need in a whole-person centered, equitable, and culturally tailored manner.”

During the event, community members will have the opportunity to get a free blood pressure screening, tour the facility, enjoy refreshments, and receive free tickets for raffle prizes when they visit representatives from the following care providers that will be at the event: Chester County Hospital, Community Volunteers in Medicine, Transportation Management Association of Chester County, Coatesville Youth Initiative, Coatesville Center for Community Health, and Maternal and Child Health Consortium.
