Wilmington Police Investigate Tuesday Night Shooting on East 16th and Thatcher Streets

WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday night in the area of East 16th and Thatcher Streets, marking another episode in a series of violent incidents that have transpired in this neighborhood in recent years.

The incident happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. when the police responded to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The young man was promptly transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Authorities are not disclosing any additional information about the victim at this time.
