BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that construction is scheduled at night next week on Rockhill Drive in Bensalem Township for bridge demolition under a project to reconstruct, widen, and improve U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
On Monday, November 13, through Thursday, November 16, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a single lane pattern will be in place in both directions on Rockhill Drive between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard.
The lane closures will allow PennDOT’s contractor to safely demolish the southbound side of the existing bridge carrying U.S. 1 over Rockhill Drive. Motorists traveling in both directions on U.S. 1 are now using the new northbound bridge during southbound construction.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
