Kennett Square Woman Faces Child Abuse Charges, Arrest Warrant Issued

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — An arrest warrant was issued on November 1, 2023, for Rosa Vazquez-Lopez, a 41-year-old resident of the 300 block on Harvey Circle in Kennett Square. The warrant was issued by District Court 15-3-044 following allegations of child abuse and domestic violence.

The case began unfolding on October 25, 2023, when local authorities received a CY47 report at 1:54 PM, signaling suspected child abuse. The report implicated Vazquez-Lopez as allegedly being both physically and emotionally abusive towards a juvenile and adult family members.

Prompt action was taken by the Kennett Square Police Department, who with assistance from the District Attorney’s Office, launched an extensive investigation into the allegations. The subsequent findings led to the completion of a criminal complaint against Vazquez-Lopez for Terroristic Threats, Endangering Welfare of Children, Simple Assault, and Harassment.

Vazquez-Lopez now faces one count each of terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, and harassment. These charges were filed at District Court 15-3-04, under court docket number MJ-15304-CCR-000422-2023.
