Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Armed Robbery Suspects

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Central Detective Division of the Philadelphia Police Department is appealing to the public for help in identifying two individuals connected to a recent armed robbery.

According to Det. Warrender of the Central Detective Division, on October 31, 2023, at approximately 4:56 p.m., two unknown black males reportedly entered Joel’s Market at 3241 Ridge Avenue. They brandished handguns and demanded money from the cash register. After the market’s staff complied with their demands, handing over approximately $800, both suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspects have been described as follows:

  • Suspect #1: Black male clad in all-black clothing, including red and black sneakers.
  • Suspect #2: Black male wearing a black “Buruj Couture” hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and gray and black “New Balance” sneakers.

The Philadelphia Police Department has warned the public not to approach these individuals if spotted but to contact 911 immediately.
