Pennsylvania Resident Sentenced for Violating Federal Narcotics and Firearm Laws

PITTSBURGH, PA — A resident of Verona, PA, has been sentenced in federal court to 5 years in prison on his conviction of violating federal narcotics and firearms laws, announced United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan.

Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti imposed the sentence Monday, October 23, 2023, on Daimere Wilmer, 30, Verona, PA.

According to information presented to the court, Wilmer possessed with intent to deliver 12 kilograms of marijuana and possessed firearms and ammunition as a previously convicted felon.

Assistant United States Attorney Gregory C. Melucci prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Olshan commended the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Pittsburgh Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Wilmer.
