Utility Work to Cause Lane Closures on Montgomery County Highways

Traffic Alert

LOWER PROVIDENCE TWP, PA — Next week, drivers in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, will need to brace for potential delays as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) undertakes utility construction as part of a local safety improvement project. This necessary work will lead to lane closures on two key state highways, impacting weekday traffic flow.

From Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, motorists can expect a lane closure on Park Avenue stretching from Eagleville Road to Sandpiper Road. Concurrently, a similar closure will affect Eagleville Road between Blue Teel Circle and Park Avenue during the same time frame.

With lane closures in effect during peak daytime hours, travelers are likely to experience backups and slower traffic. PennDOT advises those who frequent these routes to allocate extra travel time to navigate the work zones smoothly.

As with all outdoor construction activities, the scheduled work is contingent upon favorable weather conditions. Should inclement weather arise, adjustments to the construction timetable may be necessary.
