AdaptHealth

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — AdaptHealth Corp. (NASDAQ: AHCO) has announced the appointment of Suzanne Foster as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 20, 2024. Foster will take over from interim CEO and Chairman of the Board, Richard Barasch. With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Foster brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership from her tenure at Danaher Corporation, where she served as President of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences.

Foster’s background is extensive and diverse, spanning in-home care, life sciences, medical devices, supply chain and distribution, and healthcare technology sectors. Her track record of driving growth and improving profitability positions her as an ideal leader for AdaptHealth, especially as the company seeks to enhance its offerings for individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes and sleep apnea.

Richard Barasch, who has served as interim CEO, expressed confidence in Foster’s capabilities to lead AdaptHealth into a new phase of growth, highlighting her as the standout choice after an exhaustive search. Foster herself is eager to leverage her previous experiences to drive AdaptHealth forward, focusing on key initiatives that promise to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.

Following the leadership transition, Barasch will continue his involvement with AdaptHealth as Chairman of the Board until June 30, 2024, after which he will step down but remain available as a Special Advisor to the CEO if needed. The Board of Directors is currently in the process of selecting a new Chair.

This strategic leadership change comes at a pivotal time for AdaptHealth, as the company aims to solidify its position in the market and capitalize on opportunities within value-based care. Foster’s appointment signals a strong commitment to operational excellence and strategic growth, setting a positive trajectory for AdaptHealth’s future in the healthcare sector.
