Doreen Steinmacher Named 2024 Citadel Heart of Learning Award Winner for OJR

POTTSTOWN, PA — Owen J. Roberts (OJR) High School Choral Teacher Doreen Steinmacher has won the Citadel Heart of Learning Award for 2024!

Surrounded by colleagues and many of the students whose lives she positively impacts each and every day, Doreen was made aware of the honor during a special surprise ceremony attended by School Board President Rita Pederson, Superintendent Will Stout and representatives from Citadel Credit Union. The Citadel Heart of Learning program honors local teachers throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties who go above and beyond for their students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The Heart of Learning Award is one of Citadel’s longest standing initiatives, officially founded 23 years ago in partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit. Throughout the program’s history, more than 400 teachers have received this prestigious award out of thousands of nominations received each year.
